Dear Ranti,
a person that I’ve been known at the happening of couple years
as neither a close friend, nor a friend
you were only a little girl as I was, who passed by, and bought 'gado-gadonya mamaku' at that time
but I bet you can hardly remember this for now
because our circle hadn’t been sliced yet

Dear Ranti,
a person who was finally in the same circle with me
we've been schoolmates at first 3 years, although we never said a single word to each other
because you were a girl in the class
and I too,
I was only girl in another class

Dear Ranti
never had I imagined in the next 4 years we became classmate in Sepatu
and suprisingly, we could be closer as
'teman-sebangku-singkat'
thank you, for letting me know the feeling of sitting in class with the one
whom I once thought arrogant and untouchable
and whom I was sceptical to make friend with

but trust me, and some should agree,
that you are not arrogant and untouchable as sh*t, as what I was thinking at the first time

Dear Ranti,
I've been playing my memories,
then I realized,
you were one of those whom I could get easily along with
thank you for being opened
thank you for hearing
so we could be a good 'teman-sebangku-singkat'
thank you to become a good partner on Mr.David's conversation class,
we made a great holiday-Sydney-Quensland-Barrier Reaf conversation stuff that time

Anyway,
I thank to you
for making my senior high school years cool
for letting me feel 'rasanya dicacing seribu', you will be a great mom for 'cacing' your kids in the future
I thank you so much
for having time 'bikin keripik dan telor asin sama-sama'
for crushing and sneaking on someone together in the stair; even it was actually funny; he was then your boyfriend, that cute boy. Remember?
thank you
for wandering around Sam Po Kong on your short gateway with me
for giving me a place 'waktu pas luntang lantung di Makassar', I thank to your friend too, Evelyn, her name?
I swear you are lucky having her.

Dear Ranti,
I know we have never had depth conversation as far, for I know, how introvert you are as I am.
What I'm going to say is;
congratulations! you have gone little further
now, I'm standing before you in future decision process
GET MARRIED, serously?

Dear Ranti,
you are no longer my schoolmate and my classmate
you are no longer a girl,
you are woman and already a wife

I've never been excessive, writing a very long letter for a friend
but I can't help, doing nothing, seeing my friend gets married. My God, I'm over excited

Dear Ranti,
I never told you this,
for me, you are one of the sincere people that I'm difficult to find
I saw your photo in the white dress,
I swear you have already ruin your haters' world with that!
you deserve to walk in the aisle beautifully
you deserve standing in the altar and get people happy for your happiness
no matter how other's judge you
you deserve to be someone's incredible wife
and...
you deserve having that ring in your finger
you do deserve for a happily ever after life

A friend that is sincerely happy for you,
- Meng
